Dead People Voting is a Good Reason for Voter ID Laws

A friend sent me this video. I watched it, horrified at the potential for Voter Fraud and justified in my support for Voter ID.

I am aware each deceased voter died recently. Some will say it’s not fair to use these examples as there was not enough time to purge voter rolls. Yet, exploitation of exactly these weaknesses is how voter fraud is accomplished.

Corrupt men exploit vulnerabilities. They find them regularly. We must respond responsibly.

I understand, too, the argument that Voter ID laws keep folks from voting and should thus be opposed regardless of the fraud potential. This is a completely discredited view.

There is no evidence even a single voter has been disenfranchised due to a Voter ID law. Regardless, the government’s job is not to make sure I vote. That is my responsibility. Its job is to ensure the integrity of the process. It is to ensure – not that every vote able to be cast, is cast; rather that every vote cast is a legitimate vote. It is to defend equal access to, not universal use of, the ballot box.

That being said, please enjoy dead people voting in New Hampshire

Showing your ID should be required in all states ~ it is not racist. It is keeping our elections honest ~ keeping people using a deceased person's name in order to vote is wrong, fraud and they should be arrested!
